Terrazzo-look ColorBody porcelain tile · Toledo Design House
Daltile Modernist
Modernist uses a fine terrazzo-inspired pattern to give a large floor visual texture without pronounced veins. Its square formats can establish a calm grid beneath cabinetry and furniture. Toledo Design House can help you compare the color, tile size and grout against the room's light and the finishes around it.

Make it your own
Plan the whole room.
- Compare the two square sizes on a room plan, including the cuts at doorways and beside cabinets.
- Choose grout alongside a full tile; a close color softens the grid while a contrasting joint makes it more visible.
- Discuss subfloor preparation and finished floor height before settling on a large-format layout.

Before you choose
Modernist questions, answered.
Is Modernist actual terrazzo?
No. Daltile identifies it as ColorBody porcelain with a terrazzo-inspired visual. Its installation and care should follow the porcelain product instructions, not assumptions about poured terrazzo.
Can I use Modernist across a bathroom floor and shower floor?
Its chart supports level interior floors but does not approve shower floors. Choose a separately suitable shower-floor tile and coordinate its color and grout with Modernist.
