Elixen is worth comparing when your flooring decision includes both the wood visual and how the floor will be installed. Its thinner, flexible planks use adhesive rather than a click connection. - Flexible dry-back luxury vinyl flooring installed with adhesive; not rigid-core click flooring.
- Plank dimensions
- Nominal 7 × 47 inches with a 2.5 mm thickness.
- Wear layer and surface
- 20 mil wear layer, embossed surface and no bevel. The current sheet lists no attached underlayment.
- Wood visuals
- Nine options include Sonoma Oak, White Oak, Vintage Pine, Ashwood, Driftwood, Exotic Teak, Black Walnut, Rustic Java and Rosewood.
- Preparation requirements
- The current glue-down guide requires a clean, smooth, dry and sound substrate, moisture testing and at least 48 hours of acclimation under specified room conditions.

- Compare the wood color with existing doors, cabinets and adjacent floors, especially when combining different wood tones.
- Include floor preparation and the specified adhesive in the installation discussion rather than comparing plank thickness alone.
- Review doorway transitions and finished heights where the vinyl meets tile, carpet or another hard surface.

Does Elixen click together as a floating floor?
No. Elixen is flexible glue-down vinyl. Its installation method, adhesive and substrate requirements differ from rigid click flooring.
Can Elixen be installed as soon as it arrives?
The current Daltile glue-down instructions require at least 48 hours of acclimation in the installation area and specified temperature conditions. Subfloor preparation and moisture testing also need to be complete before installation.
