Daltile Archaia
Archaia brings the movement of travertine into a tile collection with two distinct formats. Larger rectangles can keep a floor calm, while the herringbone adds direction on a smaller surface. Toledo Design House can help you compare the colors and coordinate each format with its intended application and adjoining finishes.
The collection
Know your materials.
- Material distinction
- The 12 × 24 field tile is glazed porcelain. The coordinating 2 × 4 herringbone mosaic is glazed ceramic.
- Finish and character
- Both formats are matte. The collection carries a V4 random variation rating, so the overall effect should be judged across several pieces.
- Palette
- Relic White AR40, Artifact Beige AR41, Province Grey AR42 and Atlas Grey AR43.
- Formats
- Nominal 12 × 24 field tile is 5/16 inch thick. The dot-mounted herringbone uses 2 × 4 pieces on a nominal 14 × 12 sheet and is 1/4 inch thick.
- Applications
- The table approves level interior floors and walls. Standard-center-drain shower-floor approval is mosaic-only; linear-drain shower floors and exterior floors are not approved.

- Compare several tiles before choosing grout, since the random stone visual has more variation than one isolated piece reveals.
- Use the herringbone to introduce direction where it serves the room, and compare its joint pattern with the larger floor tile.

Is Archaia natural travertine?
No. It creates a travertine-inspired appearance with porcelain field tile and a ceramic mosaic. The smaller mosaic is not the same material as the larger tile.
Can the 12 × 24 tile be used on my shower floor?
The current sheet limits standard-center-drain shower-floor approval to the mosaic. It does not approve the 12 × 24 for that use or approve the collection for linear-drain shower floors. Review the exact shower layout before selection.
