Patterned glazed ceramic tile · Toledo Design House

Daltile Memoir

Memoir can make a smaller floor or a single wall the visual center of a room. The repeating design works differently beside plain cabinetry than beside another busy surface. Toledo Design House can help you compare pattern, grout and placement so the tile feels intentional within the rest of your palette.

Make it your own

Plan the whole room.

  • Lay out enough pieces to see the repeating motif, including how it meets the edges of the room or wall.
  • Compare grout with both the light and dark parts of the pattern; a joint can either interrupt or support the design.
  • Bring photos of cabinetry and adjacent floors to decide where a patterned surface will have the most impact.

Before you choose

Memoir questions, answered.

Is Memoir a cement tile?

No. It is glazed ceramic with an encaustic-inspired appearance. Select installation and care products for the actual ceramic tile, rather than assuming the requirements of traditional cement tile.

Can Jewel Black run from the bathroom floor into the shower floor?

Its current table permits level interior floor use but does not approve shower floors. Choose a separately approved shower-floor material and coordinate the pattern, color and transition.
